RHB to Play Chrissie Hynde's Restaurant Opening!
 
On September 15th the RHB is honored to be one of the featured bands at the opening of VegiTerranean, the new Restaurant from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Pretenders lead singer Chrissie Hynde. The show is part of a huge event that focuses on Downtown Akron's real estate, food and more.

The RHB will be playing on a stage setup in front of the restaurant (located in The Northside Lofts, in the northside district) starting at 3:00PM. The band will take a brief break at 3:45 as Ms. Hynde takes the stage (with celebrity guests!) for the ribbon cutting and then resumes playing again until 5:30...just in time for Ryan to get down to Canton for the Saturday night "Hank Williams: The Concert That Never Was"performance. Don't miss this special one-of-a-kind free performance.
 
 
Ryan Nominated for 2007 Akron Area Arts Alliance Rising Star Award!
 
On August 14th, Ryan was honored to be nominated for the Akron Area Arts Alliance Rising Star Award, which is a celebration of the people who enliven and enrich the Akron arts and culture community. The winners will be announced in the Beacon Journal in September and an awards ceremony will be held in November at The Tangier. It is quite and honor to be nominated and Ryan thanks all those who voted for him!
 
 
Ryan to perform as Hank Williams for Canton Cabaret Sept. 14th - 16th!
 
On December 31,1953, country music legend Hank Williams was travelling to Canton, Ohio for a concert slated to be 'The Biggest Jamboree of '53!'. However, Hank mysteriously died in the back seat of a cadillac on the way to the show. Our September show at the CANTON CABARET will present Akron-Canton native RYAN HUMBERT (www.ryanhumbert.com) performing as 'Hank Williams' for a special "reenactment" of that concert that will include such hits as "Lovesick Blues", "So Lonesome I Could Cry", "Cold Cold Heart" and many more!

4th Annual Johnny Cash-a-Thon at The Lime Spider Sept. 6th!
 
As most of you know, Akron's Lime Spider is closing it's doors in September...but not before one last JOHNNY CASH-A-THON! This year's promises to be the biggest one yet, featuring over 10 bands! Confirmed so far: The RHB, Hayshaker Jones, Tracey Thomas, The Whiskey Daredevils, BJ O'Malley, The Strange Familiar, Blonde Boy Grunt and The Groans, Brian Lisik and special guest Jack Kidney (Of The Numbers Band). More big names to be announced soon! The show is Thursday, September 6th and starts at 7PM. Help us say farewell to the Lime Spider...Johnny Cash style!


RHB and Tracey Thomas DUAL CD Release Party a HUGE success!
 
Thanks to the over 250 people who came to release party for the RHB's first ever LIVE CD and DVD on Saturday, July 21st at the Tangier. It was a special DUAL CD release party with Akron music legend Tracey Thomas, as she released her new album "Ghost Town", which was produced by Ryan. Both Tracey and Ryan performed with a 9-piece band! The new album is available now at all RHB shows and select locations. Stay tuned for more info!

"One Night Only: Acoustic Live" is a two disc CD and DVD set, featuring 20 songs on each, as well as an additional 4 bonus songs on the DVD. This special package will be available for just $15!
 
 
LIVE CD and DVD Recording a HUGE Success!
 
The RHB wants to thank all their friends, fans, and family who came out to the LIVE CD and DVD recording at Musica on Saturday, April 28th. The capacity crowd got to witness a 9-piece acoustic band RHB blaze through a 33 song set over 3 hours. The recording and footage is turning out fantastic and the final product will be released in June. Stay tuned for more details!
 
 
Ryan in the Studio with Akron Music Legend Tracey Thomas!
 
Over the last few months Ryan has been hard at work in the studio with his good friend Tracey Thomas, as they produce her first new album in 4 years! The record is being recorded at Moondog Studios in Kent, Ohio with Dave Sacchini behind the board once again. The album features 12 new songs by Tracey, including some co-written with Ryan. It also features a stunning version of the fan favorite Bruce Springsteen song "Dancing in The Dark." The album also features contributions from RHB band members Emily Bates and Ben Evans.  RHB Pays Tribute to Roy Orbison for Rock And Roll Hall of Fame!
 
The RHB had the pleasure of playing for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's American Music Masters series. The show took place at Wilbert's in Cleveland on Friday, November 3rd. The RHB cranked out a killer set of Roy Orbison songs directly after an interview with Roy Orbison Producer Fred Foster! It was truly an amazing event and brought out the best in the RHB!

 
First RHB Halloween Party A Huge Success!
 
Thanks to the 150+ people who braved the cold and inclimate weather and came to The Maize Valley Winery in Hartville to be part of the 1st RHB Halloween Party! The party was upstairs in the old barn! Thanks to special guest Chris Casale, Maize Valley Winery, and all the RHB crew and fans!

First Ryan Humbert Band BBQ a big success!
 
Thanks to the 230+ people who attended the first-ever Ryan Humbert Band BBQ on Sunday, July 30th at Northside Bar & Grille in Akron. This special show featured a 6-piece band as well as The Nothing to Lose Gospel Choir! There was a special BBQ menu courtesy of K.D's Bistro, drinks, door prizes, a wide array of your favorite RHB tunes, acoustic and full-band sets, and MUCH more! Thanks to everyone who came out to this cool event on a hot Sunday night!
 
 
RHB at BOTH Blossom Music Center and House of Blues on Same Night!
 
That's right! Ryan and the band (10 pieces!) had the pleasure of playing with ELVIS COSTELLO at Blossom Music Center on July 14th. Directly following the set, they packed up and headed to the House of Blues for a set as one of three performing bands at the 2006 Cleveland Scene Music Awards, where Ryan was nominated for Best New Artist! Both shows were attended by the 55-person RHB party bus, as well as many RHB friends and family! A great time was had by all! Thanks to all involved!

Ryan and Emily had the chance to open for the great Colorado-based roots-rock band The Subdudes on Nov. 9th 2005 at the Cleveland House of Blues! RHB with Mavericks lead singer Raul Malo at Beachland Ballroom!
 
Ryan and Emily had the extreme pleasure of opening for one of their favorite singers, Raul Malo! Raul was the lead singer of the Grammy Award winning band the Mavericks for over 15 years, and is now on a tour supporting his upcoming solo record. The show was Friday night, November 4th at the Beachland Ballroom, and both Ryan and Raul played to a near sold-out crowd! After the show Ryan and Emily were invited to join Raul back at The Renaissance Hotel to perform with Raul at a special aftershow! It was a great time! Thanks to Raul,The Beachland, and everyone who joined in on the fun!

On Friday, August 5th, Ryan had the pleasure of returning to the House of Blues Cleveland, this time to open for rock legends Foreigner! The show was great, and everyone had a fun time! The band looks forward to more shows at HOB soon!
